Welcome to St Saviour’s College Toowoomba, the oldest secondary College in Toowoomba.
We are a proud Mercy College, established in 1873, and located in the heart of the city. Our community is committed to the holistic learning of young women from Years 7 to 12.
Our proud history is reflected in our commitment to values instilled by the Sisters of Mercy based on their founder, Catherine McAuley, and by striving to live out the College Motto, “Integrity is our Strength”. The College prides itself on a strong history, with many past students having gone on to become women of reputable standing in our community, including the current Labor Senator for Queensland, Claire Moore. Many more past students, through their professional, academic, social and sporting achievements, continue to bring pride to our community.
It is our aim to offer each learner opportunities to strive for her personal best. Our College lives by the values of justice, compassion, hospitality and excellence, which are incorporated into our daily life, empowering all members of our community to prosper from an holistic education. Through encouragement and support, each girl works towards being an independent learner equipped for the complexity of our global society.
As a Catholic learning community we work together to provide an education that draws faith, culture and life into harmony. With the assistance of an enthusiastic and experienced staff, each girl has access to learning opportunities that are provided within an hospitable, compassionate and highly supportive Christian environment.
The commitment to lifelong learning with an attitude excellence, coupled with a strong sense of compassion and justice are the hallmarks of St Saviour’s College, so that each individual commits to making a difference in their community.
Our Catholic faith values and Mercy spirit underpin all that we do. Choosing a secondary school for your daughter is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. You are most welcome to contact us at any time to arrange a personalised tour of our College and boarding facility, ‘McAuley House’.
